I mean if you play everyday. Some people don’t have time.

3 weeks if you put in 10-12 hours/week. If it takes you all season, you’re not grinding efficiently.

That's strange cause my titan was stuck at the same level for literally 4 or 5 weeks this season because I never got a certain piece of gear to drop. It's not all about the player my friend. Just because you're efficient doesn't mean you're getting the payout

If your titan was stuck at the same power for 4-5 weeks you ARE grinding wrong. Every single week there's a list of activities you can do that 100% guarantee gear that is higher power than your current level. Doing even a couple bounties a day would level up your artifact at least once over the course of that 4-5 week period. Especially if you had the ghost mod on to increase XP gains. So if you were at the same power for 4-5 weeks this season, that is entirely on you for not doing the things that ensure you'll level up.

We're not talking xp bud. Base power. I hadn't gotten a class item to drop for 4 weeks. Weapons were 1320 (from my main), all armor was 1318 (my maximum average), my class item was stuck at 1311. Did not get one single powerful or pinnicle drop in the class slot for 4 weeks.

if that's true then that's some horrible RNG for you, you would think that across all sources of powerful/pinnacle rewards that you would at least get a class item from somewhere. You didn't have a class item on your season track from last season? It's not going to help in the future as they got rid of the armor on the track but we would use the track to fill in the gaps.

If your other gear was getting higher drops, the average would eventually increase as well. 3 pvp matches is a pinnacle. 3 gambit matches is a pinnacle. 3 strikes is a pinnacle. a 100k score Nightfall is a pinnacle. Opening 3 conflux chests is a pinnacle. prophecy is a pinnacle. presage is a pinnacle. harbinger is a pinnacle. vog drops pinnacles after each finished encounter. flawless trials drops pinnacle. Every iron banner bounty drops a pinnacle. That's 15 pinnacles if Iron Banner is up, 11 if not (though im blanking on how many encounters there are in vog, so I'm assuming 4?). 11 items of higher power than your average, per week. You said 4 or 5 weeks. 44 or 55 pinnacles. But let's say you don't do Trials. It's understandable if not. That drops it to 10 per week. 40 or 50 total. And what if you don't do VoG? That drops it to 6 per week. 24 or 30 total. You're telling me with 24-30 pinnacle drops over 4-5 weeks, your average power didn't go up AT ALL, and you're gonna blame it on the fact you didn't get a pinnacle Class Item? I call every kind of BS. If you were actually trying to level up, your average would have ABSOLUTELY gone up by AT LEAST 1 level over the course of 4-5 weeks.

You kinderguardians wouldn't survive d1y1, where it took months to get single armor drop. Some people never got VoG armour to be 30 but had to fill it out with IB gears. You should stop thinking your experience in the game is somehow norm and people who don't have it doing it wrong. Growing up helps

Alright bro. First off, I've been playing destiny for over 7 years now. I've seen all the progression systems and how they changed over the years. You aint gotta explain how to level up to me. I know what to do and all the ins and outs. 2nd off, the progression system is entirely reliant on rng. At a certain point, if you aren't getting the right gear drops, your average will not go up any higher. That's how numbers work. The game doesn't just hand out the right gear you need, it's on rng. That's why we ger duplicate drops at equal power to stuff we already have. Now you're gonna tell me, that after 4 weeks of doing activies, it's impossible that it wouldn't drop? No sir, that's just false. We are playing a game where people have 100+ raid completions and still don't have that raid's exotic (took me 27 DSCs to get eyes of tomorrow). Hell, I still haven't gotten the class item for my titan from VoG. Progression is never 100% guaranteed. I (and seen many other reports on these forums) have had weeks where almost every pinnicle drop was from a single slot. The last iron banner I played, every drop was a kinetic. A few seasons ago, I had a week where gloves was just about the only thing I got. It's the nature of the game man. It's what happens when we have a system thats more reliant on rng than on the actual player.

Let me preface this by saying I went ahead and did the math and, yeah. Your pinnacles would have been dropping at power 1318 or 1319 because your average was 1317, and for it to go up you'd have to get a 1319 in everything, so I admit I was wrong. That said...Not a single class item over 1310 in 4-5 weeks? Jesus christ, I wouldn't even bother playing at that point. That level of awful rng would put me off this game for good.
