It's pretty funny that you read the twab about communication and cross play and failed to see that they have been working on chat functions for several months and not think that the 2 might be related.

If Bungie actually fixed issues in a reasonable time frame people wouldnt have a leg to stand on. But since they still havent learned from 7 years of mistakes means its fair game to dog them for it.

I just used my brain and put the two pieces of the puzzle together. They are working on multi platform text chat and having issues with text chat on the only current platform that supports it.......I wonder if they might be related? I also can deduce that fixing the current chat is probably not a high priority since it being replaced

Yes because Bungie has a great track record for fixing things. I must be a complete idiot for doubting them.

If you dont think they can fix anything, why play the game? I genuinely do not understand. I have played other games and if I dont trust the devs to fix issues, I just put it down and walk away. Life is too short to waste time getting upset over things beyond my control. Getting frustrated continually by a game dev not living up to expectations just isnt worth my time.

you care about the game but do not take the time to understand the possible reasoning of why the chat has issues and try to take a jab at them instead? They are on the ball, making a multiplatform chat experience for all players instead of trying to fix a bugged chat that is doomed for the scrap heap in a matter of months. If you care about the game maybe, think about how your choice of relaying that care comes across. But hey, to each their own. Best of luck to you going forward.

I'll come back to this post when A) Crossplay is released with a broken in-game text chat or B) Crossplay is postponed because they still couldn't fix the in-game text chat. (Assuming they're even aware that it's not working, since all they have said in the past 4 months is "we're investigating reports" and left it at that. We'll see how optimistic you are then. They already stated it wont be in at launch. [quote] We see text chat as a critical tool for player communication in our action MMO game. the integration would by default replace the current version. The bugged chat is for whatever reason has not impacted all or even most players. I have seen many issues reported but vary random from not working at all, appearing to be shadowbanned to being able to chat with previous ft members, so while bugged for sure it is still technically available
