Bungie, along with terrible leadership and no vision, to the likes of Luke Smith, have ALWAYS been the problem, not Activision.
Activision gave this game reverence and excitement with a pocket book to back. Including an actual vision for the games direction.
Bungie is nothing more than unimaginative, recycled, rehashed, reused, reissued, reintroduced, reskined, “labeled as new” horde mode activities with super inflated, mind numbing repetitive bounties and empty filler such as seals and triumphs.
Anything and everything that was innovative or even remotely close to being game changing or “one of a kind” looter shooter was spear headed by Activision and their resources. Bungie is a terrible game developer with nothing but “cell phone” monetization gimmicks...

Activision also nearly killed Destiny on arrival with the complete story rewrites that took place a year before release. Obviously Bungie deserves ample blame, but Activision was certainly no saint.

The rewrites were bungie, not Activision. It’s well documented with several written articles quoting past employees of both companies confirming such rewrites. The head of Bungie conflicted with the story, not Activision. Activision is a publisher, not the creator. Not saying Activision wasn’t on board, but they do not have creative control of the finished product. Activision entered into contracts with Bungie to produce a certain amount of content with established release dates. Of course, Bungie with their incompetence could never deliver on their obligated contract time frames. Thus, Activision along with their sister studios had to allocate resources to Bungie. This isn’t new my guy, look it up for your self. Plenty of articles laying out the entire work relationship. Quit riding the Bungie fan boy train.
