I'll take "what is power-creep?" for 400, Alex.

We have been made weaker and weaker since Forsaken. There is no power creep in D2 at the current time. Primaries are so bad people are legit using double special and it works more effective in some cases. Why does it take an entire mag sometimes a mag and a half to kill one red bar in a GM? Why do you need heavy or a class ability to kill majors and up in the hardest end game content? Why did they reduce the crit multiplier on primaries on top of nerfing all the damage increasing perks by over 50% at roughly the same time? Why is the solution to everything nerf? I have almost never seen bungie try to make anything more mechanically difficult, its always more health and more damage on enemies and less damage and less health for the player. Its bullshit.

  • And I'll take "space wizard fantasy" over "child running around the backyard with a cardboard pretend weapon". The power creep argument is just weak. Guns that are both powerful and unique, as well as FUN to use should be upheld as the standards, not EVER considered for a nerf.

  • What is exhilarating about seeing anarchy numbers from behind a wall?

  • If you're playing the game right you're seeing them in front of a boss or champ firing special at them. The game made Anarchy the way it is, the players became too lazy to change to other forms of DPS. It's ok to nerf Anarchy I guess, but the only reason it's meta is because people don't want to actually play. Use other weapons it's ok, it's also ok if the raid takes 45 minutes instead of 30 because no one is using Anarchy.

  • What's so excilerating about getting one hit by even red bars in a GM? Just making enemies more tankier and massively increasing there damage isn't really that fun (I've done a GM before FYI). Nerfing the one good weapon to counter this is not a good idea at all unless they are going to go back and rebalance every strike, and we all know how good Bungie is with this type of stuff.

  • While that's a viable utilization of the weapon, I prefer to use it in other ways. But the point is it's viable for each of those ways. I prefer not to let the most recent nerf to Lament (not necessary, but also not ultimately a weapon-killer) cloud the facts. Bungie is far more likely to treat the Anarchy nerf like Sleeper, or Whisper. They have consistently shown they don't let weapons maintain viability when they nerf them (again, Lament excluded). I, for one, cannot support a decision to nerf anything that wasn't an obvious programming error. Let us have fun!

  • I'm sure hitting a boss with anarchy and sitting behind cover is "FUN"
