I complain about this every single day. I've been grinding GM recently (loving it to my own surprise) and have prisms and shards overflowing to the extent that I'll have every exotic on my hunter masterworked by like Saturday. Problem? I might have 5 cores. Shout-out to the gentleman in the comments here who pointed out the blue item workaround. Game changer.

You can also masterwork exotics for the purpose of dismantling later, I think you get 6 prisms and a golf ball
