Not only that, sharing your login info is against most ToS and CoC, yet people do it all the time. Heck, people give their accounts to YouTubers to review weapons etc... Nobody says anything about that even though it breaks Bungie's ToS. There has even been cases of Bungie employees giving their account info out to streamers to do stuff for them as well. If anything, Bungie hates AFK farmers more than carries and Recovs, just look how fast they patch afk farms in the game.

 • I’m 100% against paid services, but I think there should always be room for Bungie’s own discretion in some matters, specifically YouTubers reviewing guns. Reviewing a gun doesn’t have any negative impact on players. If you’re going 10 mph above the speed limit, you could be pulled over, but odds are that you won’t be (at least where I am).

 • It's still breaking the law. What's the point of having a rule (that everyone brings up all the time) but only apply it to specific things? It's against ToS to give out your info.

 • Like I said, there should always be discretion. If every law or rule was held to an incredibly strict standard, nearly everyone in the world would have received a fine, jail sentence, cease and desist, etc. I’m all for following rules and obeying the law, trust me, but I also care a considerable amount on intent and impact. With just letting someone review a weapon, there is no malicious intent or negative impact on anyone. Sure the terms of service could be updated to reflect this (though it wouldn’t be a productive use of time, and Bungie has the ability to make discretionary decisions on a case-by-case basis), you can’t reasonably tell me that there is any negative impact by letting someone review a weapon.

 • Is there a negative impact for recovers at all besides getting sideswiped in pvp? I don't see people complaining about Recovs in PvE for raids, dungeons, GMs, quests or even Gambit. What About IB or Survival? People do Recovs in Quick play too. Most time people complain about Recovs it's always in Trials and usually because "this team sucks stat wise but they're kicking my ass", or "I would've went flawless if it wasn't for this recov team." You'd have no way of knowing that. The people who pay for these aren't good (according to the forums) so even if they get the "meta" gun they are not going to start steam rolling people in quick play all of sudden. Don't get me wrong it's still a problem but I've never seen it as big of a deal compared to other things like Cheaters and Exploits like Out of Bounds glitches and whatnot in PvP. Bungie let's cheaters and Recovs go on for years but nerf AFK farms within a week and if they do decided to crack down on recovs, they better hit em all including their own devs that have done it. Which we both know they won't. So there's that too. I'm also fairly certain the ToS about Recovs is just there so Bungie can't get in trouble if you give you stuff out and the people steal your info/credit card/ address and what not. Like a "it's in the ToS, not our problem" kind of thing.
