I feel like RNG is not random tbh. I think there are trends on a player by player base. For example, I can't get raid exotics to drop for the life of me and on my first time in a raid for each character I always get at least three gauntlet copies before getting anything else. On the other hand my lost sector and nightfall loot drops tend to be quite lucky and I seldom have to grind much to get the goodies to drop. Meanwhile I see many people who have other trends, like getting good raid loot but barebones strike loot. I swear, whether intentionally or by some bug, RNG has trends.
