My group had a horse named after a drug that was carried to a nearby town for it to recover from its injuries. Except my party dragged the horse behind a wagon on their way there. One of my favorites dnd nights

  • One of my favorite nights of dnd was when my DM was explaining the current setting we were in, which was a massive bazar. He gave us 2 main to do; Either A.) Go to a bar and which the main goal was to find a specific character to carry on the story line or B.) Try and hunt down a bounty. This was an experimental idea our DM set up which the purpose was to gain extra earning XP. We thought we were fine without the bounty and went into the bar. And anyways blah blah blah, the DM said there was a massive Ogre inside the bar with us. One of my friends asked the descriptions of it and the DM started to describe them: A giant Ogre, wields a Club that’s killed hundreds of men, and is the best female warrior in the few miles around us. My friend, let’s call him Collin, asked what specific stat he would have to roll and how high it would be to hook up with the Ogre. DM said,” I’ll roll after you roll. If they both roll high on charisma, then maybe.” Collin did so…rolling a 18. Then the DM got a nat. That ogre had a burning passion for Collin’s character. SOOO, They hooked up. And they loved each other… too much… Cool I guess? Well anyways Collin asked,” Now what are the chances we can…you know...” he coughed staring directly at the DM while raising his eyebrows. DM looks at him and says,”Nat 20 on charisma. Only that. It doesn’t matter if it’s unnatural or close to it. Has to be a nat.” Because the DM wasn’t having it after that question, he wanted us to progress the story a little bit more. We were all pretty quiet wondering where this would go. Then he picked up the dice. Collin landed a nat. Collin looked at the DM,”…So…UHHHHH…what next?” DM tells Collin one thing,” Roll for acrobatics real quick.” Nat again. DM utters only one thing ,”…Why?” Anyways after that, the Ogre was a member of our band wagon for a bit. Continuing on with our adventures and being this fictional thing with Collin. Sorry if this seemed a bit too long. I just found the story extremely funny because the chances of Collin rolling that high on all those rolls were just really REALLY on par with that was given to us at the time.
