Top Tree Dawnblade Change *Idea*

Since hearing the devs speak on the DCP Live podcast this week mentioning Dawnblade being a little too hot right now, here is a quick idea I thought of for a change to the subclass tree. As we know there is one MAIN complaint about top tree in PvP and that is the movement. The super itself is meh, but the movement with the super is crazy. Here are a couple proposed changes! Super: Change it from a roaming Dawnblade to a Black Ops 3 Heatwave style super. This super could either be a one hit kill super with a short range, similar to a titan slam from D1, or it could be a supportive heat blast that stuns/blinds and weakens the enemy around you - potentially granting an overshield after casted as well. See the link attached to look at the Black Ops 3 Heatwave by Drift0r. This subclass tree would act similar to a crowd control in both PvP and PvE with the ability to still roam with Icarus (more on this in a bit). It could also fulfill another version of a support style Warlock compared to a Well, if it ever gets adjusted. Movement (Icarus): This one is a bit tricky and I think needs to be looked at depending on how the Super style would be from above. If it is a one hit kill super (Heat Blast), I would tune the Icarus dashes down to have 1 dash and a 3 second cooldown, instead of 2 dashes at 5-6 second cooldown. If it were a crowd control style class where the super sends out a blast that stuns and weakens enemies, I think the movement needs to be similar to how it currently is, maybe with a 7 second cool down or have the second Icarus dash kill your momentum and it just be similar to the current dash is if there were no boost glide before it. This one is overall hard to touch because of the comfortability between PvE and PvP. PvE needs movement to how Dawnblade currently operates, but its a tad bit too hot (from what most say) in PvP. I would love for Icarus to not change, personally, but since the devs hinted at an adjustment, I'm trying to be realistic in what they could do. Celestial Fire: This could be changed from an attacking melee to a defensive healing one. With the same tracking as it currently has for enemies, make it similar to a Lumina heal shot that tracks teammates to heal them, maybe with two charges (Well of Radiance grenade alternative if Well gets adjusted too). An alternative could be that the melee ability could weaken enemies as well, similar to a Void, middle tree Hunter. Perhaps requiring a trigger or activation first, ie a kill prior to using the ability. Heat Rises: Stays the same. Could allow for infinite (lol or double) Icarus Dashes for the active duration - the Icarus dash with Heat Rises active is already slowed and makes it difficult to carry momentum. To conclude, these are just some quick thoughts I had while hanging out in a stream earlier. I love Top Tree Dawn so I don't want to see the unique movement abilities suffer. This could be useful, or could be wishful spit-balling! Open to hear suggestions and feedback as I already know there would probably be some loopholes and/or kinks to work out. Yes, I know they have the Solar Subclass changes already planned :)
