Quite true, a newer cpu would probably help my issues here. Though that wouldn't explain the fps drops that I see when nothing is happening, like when I'm in orbit and occasionally it'll drop from 60 to 45 with no increase in cpu or gpu usage before or during that dip. That falls into line with what some others are seeing from what I've read on these threads for a while now. I plan to do a full upgrade eventually, just have to be lucky enough to get some of the parts these days is the thing.
