Random Exotic Idea

Hiya! So, I've been kicking around with this idea, and although it isn't refined (emphasis on that because I'm not a moron) I think it is decent enough to let other people pick it apart or for Bungie to take a good look at it and potentially put it into Destiny 2. Something like this would 100% be fun to play around with, and I know someone will agree just as much as I know someone will hate it. The exotic idea isn't special to one specific class, and I don't want it to be. Each class will get one new armor exotic. With stasis in the mix, I noticed that Bungie made both rifts and the hunter dodges into a sort of passive weapon, which does leave Titans out of the fun, but that's arguably fine as long they either get something in turn or these exotics get added. All of them have the same perk, Guardian's Embrace, which I believe isn't a perk yet, but I could be wrong, so please correct me (don't be a jerk, though) if I'm wrong. The way I'd describe this perk (using perk language) is, "Class ability adopts a unique feature based on the currently equipped subclass." Which is giving everything and nothing away. Let's move onto what it means by using each exotic. Exotic #1 - Death's Shroud (Hunter Class Item) Stasis Dodge -> Arguably the hardest to come up with since Winter's Shroud is an aspect. So what happens with Death's Shroud and the Stasis subclass is a small stasis crystal will be pushed out in the opposite direction to the dodge, freezing enemies in place if they're close enough. With Winter's Shroud in place, I didn't want to make this too powerful with a wombo combo, so this is what I figured would work best. Solar Dodge -> Moving into the arbitrary, I think this one is the most obvious. Dodging will leave a temporary blaze trail that deals solar damage. It could also create a soft explosion that can hit nearby enemies. Void Dodge -> Stealing from Stasis a bit here, I offer that the Void will create a suppressive burst on dodge, which reduces enemy weapon damage for a brief moment. Combined with the invisibility from... top tree, I think, this would be fairly devastating. Arc Dodge -> Lightning bolt shockwave upon dodging. Think the Storm grenade or (I think) bottom tree Stormcaller for Warlocks, just as a dodge. Exotic #2 - Death's Mark (Titan Class Item) Stasis Barrier -> The MOST fun to figure out, I simply propose a small change to the animation when this is equipped so the Titan punches the ground instead. Upon impact with the ground (or surface) 3 stasis crystals will shoot up, potentially freezing targets that are too close. I do think it should be a straight up wall, like a Glacier Grenade, but with a three spike spread instead of five soldier uniform. Solar Barrier -> Decided to adopt a little CoD for this one, but the Solar Barrier would be on fire and deal solar damage directly in front of it (not super far out), but it would act like a small healing rift to allies behind it. Could also be changed to a solar wall that adds solar damage to outgoing fire. Void Barrier -> Similar to the Void Dodge, this will create a weapon damage suppression, but kind of uniquely. Enemies would have to stand right in front of it for it to take effect, but since the barrier can take damage, I think that incoming damage to the barrier specifically would be reduced with this perk, meaning your barrier is stronger for longer. Arc Barrier -> I believe, and again correct me if I'm wrong, that barriers causes a small stun when walked through (PvP and PvE), so an Arc Barrier would add disruption on top of that while dealing a small amount of arc damage. Oh, and if it's the tall barrier, then your allies can run through it for a short movement buff. Exotic #3 - Bound til Death (Warlock Class Item) (Yes, I put Death in each of their titles.) Stasis Rift -> Yet again, difficult to make with the Warlock Aspect: Frostpulse, but I think this works to a degree. Now a Darkness Rift, tiny stasis crystals will form along the edge of it, which can be shattered for 1 damage a piece (there shouldn't be enough to really do much). The rift will also act like a Duskfield (no suction though) where enemies can still reap the benefits, but will be slowed and potentially frozen if they stay too long. Solar Rift -> The rift's effects become increased dramatically, and the rift will deal solar damage to enemies that try to stand inside it. Or near it. Void Rift -> Grants hunger to allies that stand inside and suppresses incoming weapon damage for anyone inside. Hunger will allow players to heal by dealing void damage. Arc Rift -> Exact same as, but much larger than, the Arc Dodge since the Warlock remains stationary while casting. The rift will also grant a small movement buff to allies that stand in it. I'm sure there could be some balancing issues, naming issues, or Bungie just won't add a Class Item Exotic for... reasons, but I genuinely think people would like to use these for a bit of a shake up to the usual exotic perks. Most are hyper-focused, so I figured this wouldn't be too bad. Plus, if it is, then they could just make it available to buy at Xur so the rarity becomes less of an issue for players getting their butts handed to 'em. Last note before I close it off, if you do have an issue with this, please don't act like it is in the game already. It isn't, and probably never will be. You can leave feedback without being a douche, I believe in you. (I may also update this post with future Darkness Subclasses)
