PS4 pro: daily weasel and anteater codes

I could really use some help figuring this issue out. I don’t know if this is a PlayStation network issue, a Bungie netcode, or an ISP (Cox Communications, loc. NE USA) routing issue. Ever since the launch of season of the splicer I am getting frequent “contacting destiny server” messages that more often than not result in either anteater or weasel errors. The weird thing is that when Destiny 2’s connection to Bungie’s servers is lost it seems to take my connection to PSN down with it. My entire PS4 pro loses network connection and can no longer see the network. The console is on WiFi due to logistical necessity but when it drops no other device on the network loses connection. I have confirmed with WiFi heat mapping that there is no problem with the WiFi reaching to the location of the console, any other device located where it is has no connection issues. I have also reconfigured my WiFi channels to the channels with least interference . My suspicion is that something in the routing through PSN, or the path the ISP is forced to take to Bungie’s servers is causing a fatal crash in the PS4’s systems and making it lose connection to the WiFi network entirely, but I have yet to find any sign of an issue with my netgear router or the connection to any other wireless device. I would provide a tracert for the dev team if I had any way of knowing what IP address to target. Is there anything that can be checked beyond basic network troubleshooting? This has ONLY started since the start of Season of the Splicer. Nothing else has changed.
