We dont need representation of every dāmn little thing in gaming. Sucks that you are suffering but leave your illness at the door.
And before you all get on my ašs about this: I didn't get an emblem for having depression or suīcidal thoughts but i didn't complain that there was no representation for depression/suīcide awareness. Point is, We dont need representation everywhere. Sure we are all unique in own way but wheres the line between awareness and entitlement? Its getting to the point in society that its no longer awareness and is becoming entitlement. You are not entitled to something just because you identify with groups, illness, etc.
To end off this post: This is my opinion, you are free to disagree with me. Sucks i have to put up this disclaimer but if i don't, i know i will get attacked for trying to label it as fact even though im clearly not.

Yeah, I agree and I see what you're saying. I'm Deaf myself but I'm used to it. I don't expect Bungie to go every single awareness to bring in Destiny Series. I personal prefer for Bungie to just focus on Destiny-related and add stuff to it, not real-life world. As someone said, it's just a video game.

Good point

Preach it.

I bet ur a healthy white man too.

With respect, it’s not about asking for representation, it’s about awareness. I personally suffer with severe anxiety and depression, but also struggle with my son who is an Iraq veteran with complex ptsd, and it still amazes me how little awareness there is for real mental health issues. Yes it is just a game but bungie continually highlights other issues and minorities, so why not make a little effort for a worthy cause.

Edited by Darkzide: 6/3/2021 6:39:56 PMDont get me wrong, Im not against awareness of mental issues. Im against people who milk it and try to use it to their advantage (same with anything else). I do appreciate your son going to fight for our country. As someone who has relatives who have gone to war, I wish the best for your son and god bless

There is awareness for all sorts everywhere on social media. There is also a time and place for everything.
-
With respect, the time is now, and the place is everywhere. If awareness saves 1 young suicide, then how is that not worth highlighting
-
I know exactly what you're saying but come on, this is just a game.
-
I agree it’s just a game, but if bungie persist in featuring their favourite causes, then why not feature something that is worthwhile and very real. I am not saying that this should become a political forum, but bungie already has
-
Bungie will feature causes because they are the current hot topic in the social world, so that they can hide from the potential hate from the current society we live in. The ones they support with the pins would likely attack them for not supporting them, which would hurt the cash they earn. It would be nice if we lived in a world where companies didn't care so much about cash and themselves, and would donate to causes or spread awareness not out of fear of problems, but out of understanding. It be even nicer if society itself would bring awareness to all of these bad things, but it seems that they will only do it for very specific things.
worthwhile and very real.
That's totally subjective. To you these are very real and very serious issues. To some they aren't as important. Where do Bungie draw the line? Next someone will be saying 'well Bungie favoured those causes, why aren't they doing something for my cause next? (which is basically the same as what's happening here). No one is belittling mental health issues. I myself have been down that road and know it's a tough place to be, but I don't expect a computer game to start champoining the cause for it. Personally, I'd rather Bungie put that energy making the game as good as it can be - that's how they can help me.
