No. There are people who actually did the work for their season levels. If you didn't, you missed out. Sorry you wasted your money by not taking the time to grind out your season levels. Having certain ornaments, weapons and shaders shows that a player was not only active during a season, but took the time to unlock the content. Many games have things which can only be earned during certain events or times. For many having them is lile saying "I've been playing since at least ______" or " I took the time to accomplish ______" . A way to show off, which many gamers like.
Asking to have after the fact access to things clearly labeled as seasonal content is a slap in the face to people who took the time to get them during the limited time these things were available.
You paid for it to be unlocked as earnable but never took the time to earn it. You didn't do the work.

You are very protective over some lines of code in a video game.
-
I mean, the suggestion here is still "putting in work," it's just that they "showed up late." Though I understand if someone was a little salty about Season of the Worthy...I quit that season because of how God awful it was.
-
That was the one with the sun dial right? I stopped playing for a while at that point and I wish I played because I really like the ornaments from that season
-
Nah, it was the season with the bunkers, and with the pillars you threw balls at. The one Felwinters came back in.
-
Sundial was season of dawn

There are ornament pieces from sets back in Y1-2 that were random drops out of that particular years Engrams They were absolutely random (some players got them straight away, and others like myself are missing 1-2 pieces on random sets across the 4 years of D2) I was definitely ‘there’ putting in time through the misery that was Y1/Y2 Dawning/Y1Faction Rallies etc Just didn’t get lucky with the RNG
-
It’s just ornaments, not exotics or anything. Let him have it.

"work"
-
Yeah, work. When sometimes the game grind is more tedious than an actual job, work.
-
yeah, no
-
I mean, by definition it is work especially if it isn’t fun
-
Damn that was cringy to read. Gatekeeping cosmetics makes no sense whatsoever - sure, I could've played more during those seasons, but it hurts nobody but gatekeepers ego if Bungie implemented this. We've already bought the pass, makes total sense to use excess levels to complete them.

Edited by SolarCerberuS: 6/3/2021 1:28:43 AMSadly it's how some measure their 'epeen' those of us who may have even been away with work at the time of a season (a concept the career gamers can't fathom) doesn't matter to these individuals, it's merely another form of sad and pathetic elitist rubbish it wouldn't hurt to add them in future seasons it would actually benefit the game and prolong the grind for many like us but the elitist snowflakes wouldn't feel as special if that were the case....they have said so themselves in this topic
-
Agreed. Well said 👍

Edited by OopsWTFmybad: 6/3/2021 1:26:36 AMNot gatekeeping bro. You didnt earn it when it was available. Many others did. You are not more important than others who actually took their time to do the grind. Sorry you didn't do the grind but many of us did. You are asking for your lack of effort that season to be rewarded. This devalues the effort of people who actially did the grind.
-
It is gatekeeping - I know you feel this sense of entitlement because you probably sit in a cespool while you play Destiny, but many other can't dedicate that amount of time due to real world stuff. Adding this system into the game literally hurts nobody. Really, it would help Bungie as people would be more inclined to buy the season bundle so that they could potentially grind for stuff they may have missed.
Also, imagine gatekeeping cosmetics lmao.
Edited by Nurz3: 6/3/2021 1:22:45 PMTo say that people are sitting in a cespool just because they hit level 100 during a season is ķinda dumb. A season is usually more than 100 days. That means that you have to reach, on average, 1 level per day. You most certainly don't have to be a carreer gamer to achieve that. Not even close...

You're throwing out the dumbest insults at this guy over and over to try to invalidate what he says because, logically, you know he's right. And you're not special for having personal reasons or financial obligations/job. MILLIONS of people play this game and you're not the special duckling among them that has a job or personal crisis that arise. It's not gatekeeping when its concept is a timed system and has been a timed system. No one gate kept you, you had just as much equal access as anyone else did. But you made the conscious decision to not participate in something that was timed. You're not entitled to grind for it now after the time has expired. They announced the seasonal passes ahead of time. You knew it was a timed system ahead of time. You didn't earn it in that time. You don't get it now. That's not gatekeeping.

"Millions play this game".......millions.......hahahaha 😂
-
"Millions play this game".......millions.......hahahaha 😂
Yeah, I noticed that too, someone is completely deluded around here.
-
According to destiny tracker 1M played pve and 700K played pvp yesterday. To say that millions of people play this game is a fairly accurate statement.
-
Its not accurate at all.
-
Edited by ISOL4TE: 6/3/2021 6:32:20 AMI can see why you chose to focus on that. It makes it easier to pretend you did something when you can make a reply that serves as a 'rebuttal' while ignoring the actual topic, doesn't it?
-
Just sounds like you didn't do the work and are mad others did and have stuff you don't. Want somwthing from a limited time event like a season? Then do it during the season. You paid money then didnt do the work. Not anyone's fault but yours.
