It’s bad enough the changes they made with the oracles but the toxicity and elitism of people in these lfg groups is unbelievable. My clan was short 2 guys so we ended up using lfg and found some people to fill the spots. These 2 guys said they had an Atheon checkpoint and ask if we could start there and they’d help us with the beginning parts after so we agreed.
Now this was our very first time in the raid learning everything and these guys had already played and made it to Atheon. So we start and their we a few mistakes but after a while we were getting the hang of stuff. All of a sudden these guys say um I don’t think we will get this done the damage isn’t enough. Now these guys were putting out similar to less damage than everyone else and were making mistakes as well. They just continued to be negative and no longer wanted to help anymore. It’s just ridiculous how people just don’t have the patience anymore to figure out where the mistakes lie, correct it and keep pushing. They rather be negative, create tension and anxiety. People want to beat the raid just as badly as these elitist pricks. Thus why raid should’ve stayed the same as it was in D1 and challenge mode should’ve had the changes.

I'll let you in on a secret. I used to do Sherpa runs back in the D1 days and early D2 days. I would Sherpa 5 newbies, not 1 or 2 guys, but 5 NEW guys who haven't done the raid or haven't cleared it yet. For FREE!!! No attachments whatsoever, I don't even stream or do youtube. BEST FEELING I've ever had in all my Destiny experiences!!! Best feeling ever! I've done a lot of raids, and I've played with some of the really good raiders of the community. But nothing beats bringing 5 NEW guys that haven't done the raid at all, and then clear it! BEST FEELING EVER!!! I don't play anymore because I don't like what happened to D2 when Activision left. The last time I did a Sherpa to 5 NEW guys was with my clan on Garden of Salvation, complete with Divinity run and a clear, to 5 newbies! I did this a lot for the community back in the day. For FREE, without attachments or any recognition. Because I knew there are a lot of gamers who wanted to do it, but are discouraged because of the toxicity of the community. And I was right! Gamers want to do the raid, they want to learn it, and they want to participate in it, if only somebody would guide them through it, without strings attached. Here's a tip, I don't go in to Sherpa and be the hero. I avoid hero moments when I Sherpa. I'm in accademics. I know how it works. Don't give food to a hungry nation, instead teach and show them how to make food, and they'll never grow hungry. Same with this. Don't Sharpa and carry new guys. Instead, teach them how to do it, give them roles and let them own it. That's how we make the community stronger and better raiders. That's how I do it. That's how I'll always do it. I don't play anymore not because of community, but because direction of the game has gone into milking cow schemes. I went back to playing D1. If you want community to be better, it's your turn to change it or make a change with it. Good luck guardians! Peace!
