How long would your 5 man carry take?
Depends. Sometimes Hours! I put a day aside to do this. Mostly on weekends when I'm free. I have a young Family back then. I stay at home on weekends with them, and we spend it together indoors, especially on winter time. As the raid gets older, I don't need a lot from it, so that's a good time for me to focus on others. When I was doing it with LFG, would take 3 or 4 hours for Normal and over 5 hours on prestige. The last time I did it with clan of 5 newbies took about 5 hours with Divinity run on GoS raid. Some of them have no idea how to do the entire raid at all. I'm in academics, so I spend a lot of time simplifying strat for them. And I explain it thoroughly first. That's probably costing me half of the time as well. Lol. Community should build on this. If you want a strong Community. This is how you do it. This is the way! Don't give food, teach and show them how to grow and make food. Community will be stronger and never hungrier! 2 cents!

Lol most of my time was usually spent mostly on getting players used to some of the add spawns to better control the field in encounters. But I was that in depth. Players very much appreciated my patience and attention to details that people online did not teach.

I know its not the same thing but in Strikes, when its evident that the fireteam, or one of them is only learning, I'll always help them. I won't leave them behind. They know how to point and shoot....they just need help with some of the other stuff. I just take it slower and if I feel that they've gained some momentum, I'll step away and let them open up a can. The problem of course with matchmaking is that people may be doing the strikes fro different reasons. 1 person may be simply going for the weekly pinnacle, another grinding bounties whilst the 3rd person may be experiencing it for the first time. I can understand why people would use the argument of 'just use LFG' if you don't know the strikes but I cannot understand why people don't help those who are obviously in need of it. A strike doesn't last long. You guys who take the time to teach others in raids are a positive reflection of this community.

What you do is a good one. Repetition is sometimes key to mastery. And patience is a quality of a really good Sherpa. Awesome!👍

  • Lol I used to do that. I have not Sherpa’d in D2. My guys quit, so my team was gone. So I stopped. Raiding has been a crapshoot all of D2. I’m sure if I add up all my D2 raid clears they might only add up to my OG VoG clears. Maybe.

Not sure when I'll be playing D2 again. Lol.

  • Honestly, was looking for VoG to be my swan song. Lol I’ll be lucky to get one run at this juncture.

  •
That’s how D1 community used to be when it first came out-nice job
Yep! That's how I remember it. Now, elitism and egotistic behaviors predominates because game itself also promotes it. I understand the competitive nature of human beings. I'm more of longevity nature and fun factor. It is an awesome game or could be, but could make or break depends on the people who makes them and community behaviour that plays it.
