Sounds like you had a stroke of bad luck in people roulette. It looks like they were more concerned with their own self interests than helping you. Mentioning an Atheon CP to boot? Could be those people that farm end boss until they get the exotic. Whatever the case. Take a moment breathe and keep in mind there are good people out there for raiding who will have the time / patience / empathy to help you through it. LFG can be awful.
