To progress the catalyst kills equip Cryosthesia, but get kills with the weapon in your secondary/energy slot. Cryo is the first D2 energy weapon that takes primary ammo in the kinetic slot and the game seems confused by it. So it can be tricked by getting kills with a weapon in your energy slot.

it was strange for the crucible kills on last step I don't think I got all my kills with the actual weapon. Maybe I was trying heavy too much. I'll give it a shot thanks

I personally didn't notice any issues with the quest steps that unlock the catalyst. But the kills you have to get to actually slot the catalyst are definitely bugged where Cryo kills aren't counting at all when they should. Fortunately the workaround is to equip Cryo and just get kills with a weapon in the second weapon slot.

It's working thanks again but I'm not using cryo sub will that speed it up
