You still have to get 15 artifact levels to get in on top of going up the 10 power from RNG drops. For YOU, that may be only a week or two, maybe 3. But not for everyone. They are smart to leave it where it is. It is your choice to abandon base weapons for adept versions, but that should not be used as a consideration to open GMs early. Some people will never get to GMs, and the base weapon is all they will get. When you gild it again, you will have an updated number showing the one from the season you are in and all previous times you’ve gilded. Chill out.
