• Yes it is. I’ve been here since Day one of the first game. While Bungie would occasionally tune the sandbox differently in spots, those pve only changes frequently got rolled back, and Bungie devs were constantly giving interviews saying that they refused to seperate the sandboxes because,”It’s important that both sides of the game feel the same.” Only I’ve been here long enough to know that Bungie has the nasty habit of taking things that they are forced to do...and spinning it as if it was something they chose to do. Facts are almost certainly that separating the sandboxes back then weRe either impossible, or so much work Bungie didn’t want to be bothered. Since splitting with Activision, Bungie has been more transparent and more candid with us as to why they do things. For example, in the recent TWAB wher they just straight up told us that moving LFRs to the special slot was too difficult and too much work. The Bungie from three years ago would have never been that honest, and would have crafted an excuse as to why leaving them where they were was forced the good of the game. When Beyond Light dropped Bungie made sideways references to new capabilities that they put into the game and that they’d start to make use of slowly over time. I believe they were referring to the ability to tune pve and pvp separately, and the stasis nerfs to behemoth were the trial run of making extensive use of that capability to draw a broad difference between how pve and pvp play. But even this doesn’t go far enough and won’t balance the game in the pvp side.
