Well if we could do that, wouldn’t we be able to just constantly spam grenades, since it will stay stacked, and recharge with the x2 stack buff?

Currently the 2nd stack of empowerment doesn't stick around for the whole timer of the buff, in my experience it only lasts for at least half of it or so. I'm still assuming its like that intentionally, my issue isn't with the cooldown buff itself. Just the process of getting to the 2nd stack of empowerment. As Fork mentioned in another comment if you use a melee then a barricaded empowerment doesn't trigger the 2nd stack, which tends to feel like a waste of ability usage. It'd be cool if it wasn't tied to two specific combos

That’s not how the exotic works. If you use a grenade it doesn’t lower grenade cool down, it’s only the cool down of your other two abilities

Yeee I know how it works, I just misinterpreted what OP was requesting. Only exotic I use really. I was just assuming he/she meant any ability, regardless if it’s the one you just used. That’s why I asked it as a question, incase I assumed wrong lol.
