just now seeing your replies, sorry for the delay in response. to give a bit more detail on what helped for me: when using the PS5 i play on a somewhat new sony tv. the biggest part of the issue seemed to be when using the HDR mode, and it would seem that the input latency on that mode was just way too high. i dont play destiny on the PS5/that tv a lot, so its hard for me to say with confidence that the input latency is 100% the only thing that was causing issues, but switching modes on the tv made it far more playable. enough that i found it to be an acceptable fix. so what i had to do was swap the picture mode for the tv when using the PS5. the terminology will be different for every tv, but you want to look for things like; picture mode, screen mode, scene select, etc. -- if you can help it, youll want to use a picture mode that is named something like "graphics" or "PC". usually there is a "game" mode, but that can sometimes have unintended effects as well. you basically want the least amount of processing of the signal. youll also want to make sure any other picture processing features are turned off, as each of these features can add to the latency. so things like "motion smoothing" or scene sharpening or anything like that. a lot of times the "PC" or "graphics" modes on tvs disable these features automatically, but not always. youll also want to be sure that the tv does NOT automatically select the picture mode for you. if there are auto features enabled, the tv may switch back to the wrong picture mode when you change inputs without you realizing. another thing to have a look at is which HDMI port your console is plugged into. believe it or not, some of the ports on the tv may not support certain features. so sometimes using a different port can mean that all of a sudden that feature that was greyed out may become available, etc. you can also straight up disable HDR from the PS5 itself. this, technically, should not matter because the latency is likely introduced by the TV's HDR mode, and not the PS5 in any way. but if your PS5 isnt putting out and HDR signal then your tv might be less likely to try and process it as HDR. the easiest way to test if it is your tv causing the issue (which, for the two of you that replied, it probably is), is to take the ps5 and hook it up to a known-good display. the safest would be a computer monitor since they tend not to have features that cause input delay. play for a few mins on a monitor that youre reasonably sure doesnt have input delay and that should give you a good idea. same is true of an old tv that youve played on in the past and are sure it was fine. just be sure not to have HDR on, in case that is causing the display to act abnormally. you can do the same thing with your controller to test if that is the issue. while expensive, you can get a second controller to confirm whether or not the controller is misbehaving. you could also, theoretically, return it afterward if needed. conversely, you could also download the PS4 version of destiny onto your PS5 and connect a dual shock 4 to the PS5 to play it with. if everything feels the same as playing the PS5 version with the dual sense, then its likely the display and not the controller. good luck, i hope you can get it figured out. be sure to really dig around in the tv picture settings and try everything.

I've been having the same issue on PS5 we are dealing with an inability to dictate the "look acceleration" and "inner & outer DeadZone" settings The Inner and the Outer Deadzones are set to high and the look acceleration settings also being sent to high adds on to the problem, it all interferes with players intent. I play "Splitgate" and "Call of Duty" and none of these issues are present on neither one of those games.
