I play pve the vast majority of the time, but still like pvp in the game. One comment I see in here that bothers me is quantifying toxicity, there are toxic people in both, pve has some horrible people who will lfg for a checkpoint and kick you to bring in their friends. My point is, you really can't quantify which one is more toxic without introducing every variable, this is a weak and lazy argument. If your argument is more focus on pve content, or not playing pvp to complete content, then stick with that. Emotionally driven arguments are usually poor arguments, that said, in my opinion, having pvp in a game like this makes it unique, if bungie decided to remove it I think the content droughts will effectively bring the game to a quicker expiration.

Oh, for me it is easily quantifiable. The sheer level of toxic language goes through the roof whenever people in a chat switch to PvP. Like, by a factor of 5 or more, sometimes far more. It’s like no holds barred, drag from bottom of barrel. And it doesn’t really matter if they’re winning or not. Yes, slightly more when losing, but that might bump it from 5 to 6. It truly is not enjoyable.

"For me", that's not quantifiable data, that's anecdotal evidence. You made my point for me.

Hmmm fair enough and in a way if they removed pvp sure it could be a good or bad thing but is it still destiny in the end? Same goes for pve remove that is it still the same destiny game we know.
