Is it meant to be good? So far most D1 things players hype up are usually very average by today's standards

If palindrome was kinetic and didn't have to compete with 120s, it'd be top tier. If 450 autos were worth anything, shadowprice would be top tier. If hawkmoon was actually hawkmoon and not a completely different gun, it'd be a monster. The list goes on. Might I also mention that's scouts are still not in a good place in d2 and they will likely make hung jury an elemental weapon, its already set up for complete failure. In d1, hung jury and scout rifles in general were an amazing, as well as balanced option for pve. In d2, why even bother?

Hung Jury is likely to be an exception to the rule. For example, looking at the Adept Nightfall weapons from this season, they were mostly PVP weapons in D1, meaning they didn't really have a good spot in D2, especially PVE. Hung Jury was by far the best weapon during TTK, not only because of its vendor perk combination, but also because it had essentially no recoil. It was an utter laser and will likely be very good in endgame PVE content. If Hung Jury is the Adept weapon in the first 2 weeks, I'm absolutely farming for a roll before going into VOG.

Thanks. Is there a particular roll that I should be looking out for? I have used scouts but mostly they all feel the same to me at the end of the day. My Night watch with rampage is all I need and if I need more range I use explosive payload. Recoil never bothered me for PvE, PvP yes but I have mida. Well I will be running GMs so no doubt I will get a few of these.

Hung Jury to me was the best Scout Rifle because it had nearly zero recoil and the perk options were great (Triple Tap and Firefly, for example)

Hung jury is the best legendary scout rifle in the franchise. They even tried to replicate it with the crappy vanguard pinnacle scout rifle that flopped.

Unless this new season has some truly great weapons then idk. Only good weapons have been specials, heavy, and a few primary weapons. D1 had loads of legendary weapons that could roll better perks

Fatebringer and VoC literally aren’t any better than anything else. Vex Mythoclast was cracked in PvP for like a few weeks and outside of that it’s one of the worst exotics we’ve seen. It’s literally just an auto rifle with Crowd Control.
