My account was banned...

Let me start by saying, I absolutely LOVE destiny. I started playing destiny on the xbox 360 in 2014 when the beta was first released, later switching to xbox one, then PC. All of these things have been done on this account. I've played on this same account for 7 years in destiny. Now lets cut to the chase... I cheated. I admit it. and I have No excuse for it. I downloaded the ring1 software, which allowed me to do almost ANY pve activity with EASE. sometimes even solo. Most people would use these cheats to make money, do "recoveries" as they are called. But not me. I strictly used my advantages to help my friends, my dad who plays, and my girlfriend, who simply just do not have enough time to get all the weapons and armor they need, just to stand a fighting chance in a raid or nightfall if they wanted to do one with me. I have played destiny 2 on pc since September of 2019... The first time I downloaded third party software (hacks), was on april 24th of 2021, currently May 5th. I have a total of 2,200 hours time played in destiny 2. That's roughly 92 days of my life. I used third party software whilst playing the game, and understand my ban was warranted, But I don't think most people can fathom the devastation, loss for words, and sadness I felt when i saw that my account had been banned. I don't know if it's permeant or not, but it doesn't matter. 92 days of my life had just been erased. I can no longer play with my dad, my girlfriend, or friends. I have easily spent almost $1,000 on Destiny all together, and spent COUNTLESS hours learning mechanics, strategies, and maps. I feel so scummy, so full of regret. I've learned a very valuable lesson that not only applies to video games, but just life in general. This is my first time offense, ever... for that matter... cheating in a video game. So I guess my whole point of making this post is.... is that it? is destiny over for me just like that? I want to know if there is any way, by any means AT ALL, that I can redeem myself. If there is ANY way to get that part of my life back... I know it's really easy for some people to look at this and say "What a dummy! you get what you get!" But I just want you to imagine... what if you lost it all... everything you worked for.... all the armor...weapons...triumphs..... everything you earned. I wanted to help others out that didn't have the time. But that's not fair, and I realize that now. And that's how the ship sails! I'd really love to be apart of destiny's future, so which ever bungie employee is reading this, think about it. It would be one thing for me to say "unban me! unban me!! I wanna play I'm sorry!!" But in reality, I deserve the ban! I agree 100% with it and you might not believe me, but it makes me HAPPY to see cheaters do actually get banned. If I was banned for 2 months I could accept that. If I was banned for 6 months, I could accept that. If I was banned for a WHOLE year (yeah that would suck) but I COULD ACCEPT THAT. What I can't accept is simply never being able to play the game again. People who cheat in destiny to actually be trashy and ruin the game, make new accounts and just go straight back into the game. I am not one of those people. I wish I could make someone at bungie care enough, empathize, and at least make a reply to this. That's all I'm hoping for. Thanks a ton - Jake

You're sterling be cheating if you weren't banned. [quote]This is my first time offense, ever... for that matter... cheating in a video game. Those who "really care about the game", wouldn't stoop to your level and cheat. The game is better if without people like you.
