Stasis is an outlier. In a game that otherwise rewards movement, Stasis is a harsh and constant hindrance to that movement. Stasis currently kills and suppresses other abilities better than the Void subclass abilities designed [i][b]specifically[/b][/i] for that purpose. What Bungie needs to do is rework the Light Subclasses to feel more dynamic and on par with Stasis. Unfortunately, Bungie simply made Stasis busted on release to sell Beyond Light without buffing Light Subclasses at the same time, and they're now attempting to placate us.

  • Disagree. Stasis is an outlier, because it has more impact on game play than the Light abilities....because Bungie nerfed those into the ground in pursuit of a "balance" that the game will never reach. But slowing and interfering with movement has LONG been a part of this game. Void Titans have had suppressor grenades (which take away your jump) since Day One....and Void Hunters have had smoke grenades (both slow and blind you) since the second year of the first game. The only difference with Stasis is that its the only subclass where ability power (especially neutral game) have been dialed BACK up to D1 levels of power..... ...and NOW everyone has that ability now. So you're going to see it a lot more often....and its the first time Huntes have had to face it from non-Hunters. So people are crying about it in the effort to weaken the opposition. As opposed to demanding a nerf that would wind up hurting their own power.

  • Two abilities on two Void classes is a bit different than having Grenades, melee, and Supers that suppress on all three classes, and having those be the most dominant (and thus most used abilities) in the Crucible. And we're only talking suppression, not outright [i]freezing[/i].
