Funny thing is, my pvp kd started to tank around the time beyond light launched. That coincided with the time I got a ps5. I can't put my finger on what's going on. If I look at my seasonal kd on destinytracker, I was consistently around 1.2-1.3, it's gone down now to the point its at about 0.7 for this season.
I genuinely don't understand why.

Same on series S bud. Truth is, mm isn't actually crossgen play unless you're in a party with an old gen player, so you're matching new gen players, so much smaller pool, much sweatier players. People who buy a new gen console, to play PvP in a free to pls game, are pure sweat. Wanna know something daunting? Cross play comes in season 15, when you'll match new gen Xbox players, n trust me on this, they're all no life pros, it'll be a bloodbath.

That's only for trials. Old gens match new gens in qp and comp all the time.

Nope, it's been tested, albeit small. Why would they only do it for trials? It's still PvP with new gen having a huge advantage facing old gen. Also tested strikes n gambit myself. I have a series S and PS4, series S you load in really fast and I'm NEVER waiting for people to spawn in, if they where old gen, they'd spawn in a lot later. It does happen, but only when there's a team of 2 n 1s old gen. Same with gambit. Went back to ps4, load times are slow as shit, and no one's ever spawned in before me, always spawn in at the same time, and it's like 4-5 times slower than series S. A lot of people told me this before I even realised it was happening.
