I'd just make golf balls more available to the average player make them a possible drop from dungeons and give one golf ball for reseting your valor rank in crucible not just the first time in a season (maybe increase Valor rank to 5500 same as glory) and give 3 to 4 for doing so in gambit since the effort is nearly tripled for gambit.

Can't always get a fireteam to do them and there's a large number in this community that doesn't play with a fireteam and they could use more ways to masterwork gear. It wouldn't hurt giving people more reasons to play pvp and gambit. Strikes would still be the fastest method for upgrading materials.

You seem like a good player, how can you not have enough golf balls? I can’t spend enough, always have some at postmasters. But I guess for solo players there should be more sources, you are right.

Well I've deleted some of my masterworked gear because of sunsetting a bit early. I mainly play pvp and basically anything that isn't nightfalls. Really only did them when there was double loot. I've only just recently started to play nightfalls on a regular basis cause of the new weapons like palindrome and swarm and one of my friends wanted help getting the conquerer title. Not to mention trying to masterwork your armor for all 3 characters is quite expensive especially if you masterwork exotics as well.

Well, for example, I don’t play much pvp, I do lots of gms when I can, and all my exotics on all 3 characters are masterworked, just as an example of how many you can get in gms. I’m at the point I mainly use them to change elements, not the exotics but regular armour.

That's the point I'm trying to get across not everyone likes doing nightfalls repeatedly or have a friend group to do them. Many would rather do it once on each character for the week for the powerful drops and then go back to what they like doing. There just needs to be more ways to get a hand on upgrade materials but nightfalls will always be the fastest way to get them. I don't think getting one each rank reset is giving them away on the crucible side you could farm a master night fall over a dozen times before a player in a 6 stack resets his rank once during iron banner week.

If they just give masterworked armour for dungeons and have more drop from other activities like you say, it could solve some problems I think. You could dismantle them and trade you prisms for shards. Doing gms is hard though, I don’t get them for free. You need to plan things out and have a good strat going in. Not allowed many mistakes in there, pvp is often dependant on who you are matched with and against, like gambit. Not saying everyone shouldn’t have them, but a lot of players want everything with minimum effort, that I am against.

There is one for gambit, strikes, and crucible. You can earn prisms. (Plus you get prisms from Shaxx and Drifter) Then just buy the golf balls from the gunsmith. (You can also buy prisms from him)

Most likely next season raids will drop golfballs on a rotation basis. Each week completing a raid on rotation will award one. (It was accidentally sort of released at the beginning of the previous season, but removed ahoetlt after).

Trust me, I don't need more golf balls, I'm saying this could be useful for players that don't want to grind Nightfalls, which is fair.

I feel your opinion and I semi agree with it. However the non-hardcore casual player doesn’t have the time to do a 30 min NF for 2 golf balls. I feel like being able to fully optimize your armor for whatever build your running shouldn’t be tied to the ultimate endgame, but instead just like early endgame if you know what I mean. If you only complete dungeons and raids you should be able to get the rewards from those to fully upgrade your gear.

Agreed. This season seems to have me with more prisms than I know what to do with. I just buy whatever planetary materials spider is selling for shards. Then buy an ascendant shard when my glimmer gets full.

Few games of crucible fills shax up to the exotic, am literally swimming in golf balls.. I also have 250 engrams to pick up but they’re shit so I don’t bother
