They could just place ornaments/old shaders/cosmetics as additional rewards for Lost Sectors, Exotic Ornaments drop on Legendary Lost Sectors. If the Lost Sector is (for example) a Helmet piece Exotic, then the Ornaments dropping for that Lost Sector are also Exotic Helmet Ornaments only.

  • Adding extra loot to lost sectors dilute the loot pool .. that might nky affect you BUT it will affect people who try to get specific stats on specific armor as it will be extremely annoying and grindy ... Some armor that drops for me frequently (like most of the time) are not good stat distribution... I hope you got the picture..

    I mean like i stated to the guy above im not really concerned with stats as long as they are reasonably distributed why should i keep grinding for anymore more. If im grinding for an Exotic then im either grinding because i want to collect it or im most likely wanting the Exotic for its Perk. Anything else is just unnecessary and at [b][i]my own [/i][/b]discretion. Also, additional loot with the main loot having the same drop rate surely cant be that hard to implement... And even if it were difficult to implement for daily Lost Sectors then that doesnt mean we cant have additional loot for Lost Sectors that Aren't the Daily LS. At least then that would give an incentive to play Lost Sectors that arent Legendary/Heroic, i know id play them more if i could get some ornaments/old shaders ive yet to collect.

  • ..... i already told you that this Might not affect you BUT affects others... Also .. i think you meant additional drops have a separate loot pool that have extra chance of dropping in addition to main drops .. Otherwise it would be competing with main loot pool ..

[/i][/b] If you wanna grind your eye balls out for higher numbers then be my guest but to me thats absolutely unnecessary, you have a good roll dont complain that perfection takes ages to grind for when youve already got something that does the job sufficiently. I hope you got the picture... Also, like i said, it doesnt have to be a daily Legendary/Heroic, could be normal Lost Sectors, i feel i may have awakon the Elitists...

I already know you don't care and i already stated that you don't care .. to let you know and guide to the point I'm making but you're still missing it 2. My point is simple They can add whatever just in a separate extra loot pool Simple Example .. You can get exotic and possible ornament Not exotic or ornament 3. I'm not complaining about grind or drop rates currently 4. It's not about elitism as i grind for them not so often but I'm for adding more to the game without affecting other people grind .. 5. If they added something like ornament that they sell for money, you better believe it will be on higher difficulty activities not normal ones 6. If after all this you can't get my point then you're looking at it from a pinhole point of view

    It would be even more annoying to have to grind the lost sectors solo and pray for a low rng drop

    Lost Sectors arent THAT bad, tbh i dont see much incentive to even grind them, last time i done one Lost Sector and i got the new Warlock Chest piece after the first completion, i dont even feel like my RNG is that great either... But thats not the point im trying make... These rewards would just be additional rewards and not the main stake to play for. Just a bonus reward for when your RNG isn't that great, at least you get something else. Granted it may not be the thing you wanted and you may have to grind again for it but at least youd get some other things you may very well end up using. I highly doubt with all these suggested additional rewards and the main reward, you'd end up recieving absolutely nothing from a Lost Sector completion. which is why i feel this would give more incentive to grind them, even then a player still recieves at least something out of it.

  • They are annoying to do because it’s literally forcing players to do a activity solo for a peice of armor, and if you dont get the stat roll you want ill wait for ya when your done grinding the roll you want

    I mean all i cared about was collecting the armour piece, i dont really care much for stat rolls on a piece of armour i know im not going to use, i think it rolled with a 62 base stat which is fine by me so i never went back to doing it again. Forced yeah but honestly i never stressed over getting the item. If you really want to grind for a high stat roll then thats totally down to you, no one is forcing you to grind the hell out of an activity just because you want some numbers to go higher... I will admit that it doesnt really make sense to place a Reward only for Solo players, it would've been better if Bungie implemented the reward system where the less players in a fireteam, the more likely the item will drop after completion. But again, my point was to apply additional rewards alongside the main reward so theres more incentive to do the Lost Sectors.

  • Do it the same way catalyst work, either random drops from specific activities (same source the catalyst comes from) or make it so you must complete a objective like the first raid weapon ornaments was done (the legend of acrius ornament)

  • I mean that would be fine but my whole point was to give an incentive to actually play Lost Sectors without feeling annoyed with them and to be somewhat rewarding even if you didnt recieve the item you initially wanted.

  • Lost Sectors were a good idea at launch and work well for placing quest items in but dont work as standalone content. The upgraded lost sectors worked in the rasputin season because they had a quest tied with them (4th horseman’s catalyst) but these new lost sectors force you to do them solo just to get a new exotic armor that has a absurdly low drop chance

  • Its not that they feel unrewarding, its that throwing money at something (in this case loot) doesn’t fix a problem, sometimes the foundation is messed up and the whole system needs a fix. Lost Sectors are not meant to be used as standalone content, people loved stuff like forges because they were short and gave good loot if you worked for it, thats a good example of a activity

  • Yeah forges were much more direct to loot progress though, you knew you were definitely getting the loot you wanted but the perks would be random. Lost sectors that arent the daily Legendary or Heroic dont really give players the incentive to play them.

    Yes, the Lost Sectors and the Forges are built differently, which is why the comparison was rather random to bring up from the get go. Like you've stated forges felt rewarding, when i look at normal None daily Lost Sectors, they just feel rather useless.

  • I brought up the comparison because both are both short activites that in their most recent states are meant to give good resources. Only difference is one forces you to grind to get those resources the other didnt

  • See you keep going on about something that im not even trying to point out, yes Lost Sectors is an activity that forces you to play its Heroic/Legendary versions but what about the none daily versions... how many times do you go on to Destiny and think - 'Im going to play this Lost Sector for the sake of it' a [b][i]none[/i][/b] daily Legendary or Heroic. I agree, the Loot shouldnt be trapped behind one activity with poor drop rates but again, that's not the subject im talking about.

  • Yeah i agree but Lost Sectors need some value but again, i agree where locking a piece of armour behind them just doesnt seem right, it wouldnt been too bad if the drop rate wasn't crazy either but thats something i havent experienced either way i agree. But, i also feel Lost Sectors do need somd value in order for them to be relevant with the incentive to play them, which is why i asked for addition cosmetic loot on None Daily (Legendary/Heroic) Lost Sectors.

  • Sometimes its just better to leave things alone, Lost Sectors are one. They are better off building a new activity
