Or at least a Rally Banner spot. Did a GM last night where I didn't get a single heavy drop from the tank room on, despite using double finder.

there's your mistake, don't use double finders for the same ammo type. it makes heavy drop less frequently than if you have no mods on. just run one and you will see way more ammo drops. 👍

He's not telling you the truth. This used to be an issue with scavengers/reserves doing this which has since been fixed. Ammo finders run on a separate system from regular ammo economy. They spawn bricks with half capacity in addition to your regular bricks that would drop regardless of your ammo finders. That said I doubt 2 finders stack well if at all. You're probably wasting the 2nd mod slot.
