6000 Series was not out before beyond light. 5000 series had issues before beyond light. Im aware that RX 580/480 weren't really suffering from the same issues as i also have these pieces of hardware. The problem as a whole is that AMD GPU support has been terrible this entire time. But especially after beyond light. I'm probably in the unique position that I own multiple Graphics cards from both vendors from over the last few generations. And have a very strong IT background. which is why I virtually know what is going on after doing some digging. in regards to this game.

  • I had a 5700XT and it worked fine, now I have a 6900XT. People who currently have a 5700XT are reporting the same issues as me.

  • did u read what i wrote? i said "5000 series". what do u call working fine? a 5700XT should push an average of 90fps @ 1440p maxed on destiny 2. Ive seen from posts here that pre-beyond light users could get 60fps on the tangled shore with a 5700XT, but that is not "fine" that is a joke for a graphic card of that caliber. 60fps should be the absolute minimum, not the highs...

  • First of all, calm down. Secondly, when I had my 5700XT I was getting 120fps average on 1440P High with no stuttering. Now with a 6900XT I'm averaging 120fps with frequent stutters and certain areas of the game, like the europa simulation challenge, literally go down to 0 fps for several seconds. They did something to tank performance on RDNA2.

  • Some of you people get offended way too easily. if you read my genuine inquiry as a heated jab, then I suggest you read up on text etiquette. If I had all my text in caps then I could see your reasoning. I apologize regardless, but I do recommend a dosage of concrete and "hardening up" as we say in my country. As for your averages, 120Fps would have been your highs. I know this because of multiple acquaintances that have the 5700XT. the key problem areas in which most users of this thread have been referencing: tangled shore, tower, crucible etc. have always ran like trash on AMD graphics. the stuttering issues popped up after beyond light, ill give you that. although, simulation challenge issues are not one I have encountered myself. I don't know what the rest of your rig is, so there could a bottleneck elsewhere, but that is unique and I would DDU and clean your registry if I was you. RDNA2 is basically just a more efficient RDNA1, think rx 480 vs 580. if u compare clock for clock, there is virtually no difference. RDNA2s strengths are reduced power consumption and massively increased clocks as compared to RDNA1. Bungo lacks the programing ability to purposely make performance worse from a generational jump. AMD is dedicated to not having the plethora of driver issues they had with RDNA1.

Listen, guy, that was my average. I'm very competent when it comes to PCs. There is no bottleneck in my system. 3900XT, X570, 32GB 3600 RAM, GEN 4 M.2 SSD. I've been building PCs and tinkering with them for over 20 years. The highs went much higher than 120fps on my 5700XT. We're talking about 1440p here, not 4k. It was averaging 120fps. I don't care what your acquaintances say. Also, I'm not offended. A random person on the internet can't offend me. When you're talking to people, maybe don't say things like "did you read what I said?!?". Like bro, I read what you wrote. That doesn't mean you're right. I can tell from these conversations you're very impressed with yourself and your self perceived knowledge. So, thanks for the input, but I'll pass on anything further you think you have to enlighten me with.

  • for someone not offended, you are very apprehensive. you quoted me incorrectly also, I can see why your brain gets all defensive, I quote myself now "did u read what I wrote?" yet you seem to have read that as "did you read what I said?!?". if I had exclamation marks id see your point, that would be an elevated statement. you might want to try reading with glasses on next time. All I am impressed by right now, is your poor communication ability. I Seek Knowledge, and offer mine where I can, which is more than we can say for yourself right now. so far you haven't said anything knowledgeable. Just short opinion statements, and accusations of attacks by me. If a had referred to you as a lightbulb, then yes you could say I was trying to enlighten you. Unfortunately I just don't think your that bright. (Pun intended for everyone else)
