Imagine how much fun we could have if Bungie weren't dead set on making us weak, remember melting bosses in D1 with everybody unloading with gjallahorn? Arent video games supposed to be fun?

Do you play this game? Try a strike or two and I'm sure you'll see a boss disappear before it even moves.
-
You mean like melting bosses within seconds of them spawning like Inverted Spire, Strange Terrain, Arms Dealer, Warden, and Lake of Shadows?
-
You have to admit it’s so funny to be chasing a boss around for 10 minutes only for us to kill it in fractions of a second, it’s so anti climatic

How would you know? Time to move on maybe?
-
Well, they are. But fun is really subjective.

That has been my main issue with this game. We shouldn't even be called "guardians" anymore because of how weak we actually are. More like a bunch of pansy running around playing dress-up 🤦♂️ I don't think we should be OP melting bosses but this weak crap needs to go.
-
I've never felt stronger than I do now. I have so many OP builds to choose from, it never gets old. Maybe you should experiment with the mod system.
-
The mods barely do anything when it comes to taking damage that it shows how rigged the stat system actually in this game.
-
Destiny as a whole has abandoned the "Fun" aspect to focus more on the "Player Engagement" one (A.K.A. more playtime).

When I was powerful with unnerfed gear I played A LOT more than now. Doing boring chores on old content is a definition of dead end for me.

Same. It just isn't fun. One thing that I missed when I played was that on D1, you could become stronger doing basically anything (even though, personally, I think that max level gear should be locked to raids). Pretty much every activity had something desirable. Strikes had strong weapons like Imago, Thread Upon Stars, Baron's Ambition, etc.. Not to mention the armors like the Warlock's Theosyon Vibrissae and Devouring Maw. The Flayer Cloaks as well. PoE we had the "Fallen" weaponry that Variks gave us on faction level ups and the Queen's weapons on completion of Challenge of the Elders. Not to mention an exclusive armor set. Crucible with Palindrome and Event Horizon.. Hell, even bounties had interesting things. Queen's Wrath bounties gave us an exclusive armor set as well. D2 feels that if you've completed your "checklist", you're done for the week.
