Extended edition!?
How you gonna make a 50 hour slog walking sim and still not find time to put in all the content from the get go? :s
I can't imagine what's missing. The game wrapped up and there was ample opportunity in the literal wasteland of the game world to add in whatever the extended edition would include...

Maybe they're gonna make America to scale, so you get to walk across the whole thing.

I'd rather these guys did it.
Maybe they're gonna make America to scale, so you get to walk across the whole thing.
I have a friend who loves that game. Said it's almost zen-like.
I have a friend who loves that game. Said it's almost zen-like.
It really is - especially if you bang a radio on in the background. I actually stick some audiobooks on here and there with it. I went whole hog on it (wheel, pedals, gearstick and VR headset) and its such a great experience.

I know isn't it exciting!!!!! I'd take an extra 50 hours of it in a heartbeat, I like that they are remastering it for the new gen of consoles, and I like that Kojima has more planned in the Universe and that it includes Norman Reedus. I think this was content they finished after the release, but frankly if the game was "unfinished" at launch, no one could tell. The most common critique was a well polished and polarizing piece of game media. I'd guess it's either content to connect DS to the next installment, or (worst case) it's more filler. Either way. WANT.

Edited by Psyntifik: 3/3/2021 2:09:35 PMGlad I finished it, never going back. A really pretentious game that I feel only did as well as it did because of the names attached to it. It's not that I think anything was unfinished, it's more that he decided to make a directors cut in a game where nothing happens for 75% of it.

well, not for everyone, I suppose. But there was always something happening in my game, I don't know what that 75% means as the game requires your active involvement, but the only thing I didn't like was the fact that I couldn't string ladders together to climb extra high cliffs.

Minus some plot holes, the story beats were pretty cool, but narratively the game really only mattered for about 15 hours. Everything else got old really fast. The game made its point very early on and then just continued to reinforce it in the same way over and over and over. All in all, though, I'm happy people are getting more of what they enjoy. I'm just really confused how this game could ever justify having to re-release in order to add anything at all.

Well you also had to balance, and sometimes you fell over if you just "held forward", not to mention the numerous tools you had at your disposal. Seems a bit like a mischaracterization. I thought the game had far more nuance than whatever point you may have gleaned. But I digress- if you didn't like you didn't like it. What do I care?
