Fired up Destiny 2 today on my PC with a 2700x and a 1070. Never had any issues in previous weeks and game was fine 2 days ago. I am unable to load into ANY activity or load into the tower. Game gets stuck on black screen AFTER orbit loading screen. Only thing that I have changed on my end is updated to the latest Nvidia graphics drivers today. Also experiencing severe shuddering on in menus.

I had the exact same problem, try disabling shader cache in the Nvidia Control Panel that is what fixed it for me.
