This games pvp algorithm is designed to make you lose. It literally tells you while you’re queueing into the games It doesn’t say [i]Searching[/i] for players It says [b]Evaluating[/b] Players! If it was truely connection based WHATS TO EVALUATE? And it’s not a clear cut SBMM algorithm either. It’s the lobby balancing going on. Check out how atrocious my teammates were. And this isn’t an anomaly. It’s literally like this every time I play solo or with 1 other player. Every single time. https://ibb.co/7XkhB6r https://ibb.co/ScgPt6s The current algorithm is just busted. And it not Random. Last week, played 8 games of Showdown. I got one good player out of 20. The rest were just awful. Going into IB not stacked? It’s an automatic half my team is going negative. AUTOMATIC. Don’t believe ppl when they say it’s purely CB. Because it’s not. No way in hell.

And there is some SBMM but it will prioritize Connection over Skill. Its not perfect but its better than most games and no, its not designed to make you lose.

Its not perfect but its better than most games and no, its not designed to make you lose.[/quote] I shouldn’t have said lose. It’s designed to try and keep you at around a 50% win rate. Bungie themselves have admitted this in past ViDoc. And if it really takes that long to evaluate connections then some players are still running on AoL... Go look at the corresponding DTR Elo scores. It’s not random. It cannot be both CB and SB. Once they throw ANY algorithm to manipulate teams in any way it automatically becomes SB. Team Balancing is just another form of SB. And it’s not better. It’s the reason for so many mercies in PvP.

You could have Xfinity Gigabit connection and it can still take long to get evaluated. Most games are designed to have some SBMM. Its mostly based on connection though. Thats why you may get games like that. If it was SBMM, you're games would be alot harder than they are now.

You ethier have a balance of SBMM and CBMM or ethier one purely. Thats how most games work, Halo, Overwatch, Most CODs before Modern Warfare 2019, they all work that way. Hell, Halo lets you choose whether you want SBMM, CBMM or balancing before.

  • I'm an hour from Boston, i get matched against friends in new zealand ffs i have shit dsl but is more than enough to run a peer to peer pvp game but yet i get lagged comped to literally death . I shot a guy 3 times in the head yesterday, his slid shot gunned missed and died at my feet to my previous 3 shots ! shit likes this happens a lot . CoD4 had better peer to peer than this game .

I still get the absolute worst of the worst for teammates. And I’m not trying to sound toxic. I’m not a professional pvp player. Not a Goat I’ve had my butt kicked plenty But I can damn sure do better than .2-.3 map after map.
