If a game has lots of problems, its community will have lots of problems.
If you want to fix the community, you must fix the game, and D2 needs a lot of fixing.

Hard disagree. I've said it before and I'll say it again: you could bundle a game with a £50 note and there would be a slice of players who'd piss and moan about it somehow

I agree that the game needs fixing but does that mean we can just crap on the developers?
-
No, but people will do stupid stuff.

Technically we shouldn't BUT technically they should be doing a better job. I've worked in customer service and sales for over 20 years. Angry customers (make no mistake, we aren't fans, we're customers) are a chance to find out what you're doing wrong as a business and take steps to correct it. Have i been yelled at? Yep! Have i had terse emails and phone calls? Yep! Does it give me the right to get angry back? Not if i want to keep that person's business. I haven't seen what went down - i don't use social media anymore because of its inherent toxicity - but i do know that Bungie's customer service and communication standards are what i (and many others) consider poor and unprofessional. They need to do better - especially given how much money they make. They need to be bigger people and listen to what's being said, not how it's being said because in many many ways, Destiny 2 is a defective product. Given the above, i agree with you that people have the right to lose their cool but that's just my opinion. I can't enforce my own moral compass on anyone else because that's immoral in and of itself. If people want to yell at their phone company because their internet got cut off, or their hardware supplier because a package went missing, that's their prerogative and, respectfully, we don't have any right to say otherwise. If they want to throw a tantrum that's their call, not ours. How Bungie react to that is up to Bungie. So dressing down a whole bunch of people who had nothing to do with it just seems like a waste of everyone's time mate : /
