Best - 2010s. The rise of the internet has allowed experimentation and creativity to broadcast itself across the world. Genre barely exists anymore. There are no longer any boundaries in terms of who can create music, how they can present it, and what they can write music about. Not to mention how easy it now is to access the music of decades past. This is the best decade for music - and the best decade to listen to older music. Worst - 1960s. Important? Sure. But by today's standards it's pretty basic and bland, and were it to release today we'd instantly forget about basically all of it. I don't consider influence and quality to be interchangeable.
