Did everything and it is still -blam!-ed.
Start the game, 141 fps, play crucible match, still 141 fps, go to tower and back to crucible, suddenly, 70 fps.
Started a new game now, fullscreen, 59-60 fps. Switched to windowed mode at 1280x720 resolution, 59-60 fps, switched back to 1440p, still 59-60 fps. Enabled Xbox Overlay, 120 fps.
Set rendering resolution to 25% - 60 fps, set it back to 100% - 60 fps.
Played a strike with performance graph overlay active.
CPU and GPU were around 50% the entire strike and I was at around 60 fps.
I wonder what you messed up with the last patch before this Season, but you really need to revert it.

Edited by SleepTac: 2/19/2021 10:38:13 AMFramerate is for sure locked to 60 in fullscreen for some reason. vsync is on in your game settings; check in nvidia control panel 3d settings, if vsync is forced in Global Settings(i have no idea what gpu you have); turn off windows 10 gamemode; disable fullscreen optimizations in destiny2.exe Properties>Compatibility; check if your FreeSync or G-Sync monitor is causing it;

Edited by ins: 2/20/2021 7:36:52 PMIt is the game that is broken, not my configuration. Even went through some of the less idiotic suggestions online from various threads and they did exactly zero to improve the situation. * No shader cache => Nope * Shader cache, but deleted before running => Nope * 500 hz polling rate on mouse instead of 1000 hz => Nope (This was a major issue in an earlier patch I recall) * Vsync on/off, FPS Limit, etc, in game => Nope * Vsync on/off, FPS Limit on Nvidia control panel => Nope * Windowed mode => Nope * Fullscreen mode => Nope * Windowed Fullscreen => Nope * Windowed Borderless => Nope * Details Max => Nope * Details min => Nope * Rendering at 100% => Nope * Rendering at 25% => Nope, same -blam!-ing framerate as at 100% * XBOX Overlay ON => Nope * XBOX Overlay OFF => Nope * XBOX GameDVR and all that shit on => Nope * XBOX GameDVR disabled, as it should be => Nope * Game mode = > -blam!- that. * Registry setting for the Win10 Fullscreen "fake" mode => Set it to exclusive => Nope * LowLatencyMode in configuration settings at 0, 1, 2 = Nope * LowLatency (all variations) in Nvidia CP => Nope * GPU Power configuration changes => Nope * Probably a bunch of other shit that didn't do anything either. What I can see is that when the game is in idiot mode, it only runs my hardware at maybe 30-50%. When its at 141 where it should be, its higher. What _randomly_ seems to work is to alt-tab a few times and the fps count goes back to what it normally should be at, for a time - anyway.
