I've been playing every playlist grinding rolls for the playlist exclusive weapons but honestly, it feels really bad to have played, for example, 5-6 hours of PvP in a row and to not have ANY new weapons drop. Literally 0 weapons let alone the new ones have dropped. Same with playing hours of Gambit or Strikes with literally 0 drops. It really is time to up the drop rate on these guns. If they have random rolls, then they need to drop more often to be able to farm for rolls that we'd like to use.
Edit: Since there are a lot of people that assume I meant Nightfall weapons, that is a source that I believe could be bumped a bit as well but my main post was about the 6 new weapons found in the core playlists like Gambit, PvP and Strikes (2 new weapons per playlist for a total of 6).

Edited by Frosty_Style: 2/21/2021 11:11:36 PMNice Trials matches there mate. Imagine win trading in Trials and complaining about drop rates in other game modes lol.

It's so that when you do get one to drop you will have a sense of pride and accomplishment.
-
Yea your right .. it wasn’t as bad with only 1 weapon per playlist like last season but now with 3 weapons per playlist and 12 perks per column and we have sunsetting the chances of getting the roll you want is slim to none and when you do get one you like it’s likely to be sunset the next season .. finally got a stars and shadow this season with outlaw dragonfly ..

Drop rates are way too low for the size of the perk pool that each weapon has. Low drop rate + huge perk pool = taking absolutely forever to get a roll you like
-
Clanmate played 80+ gambit matches and got 2 Bottom Dollars. So 1 for every 40 matches. Good job Bungo. 😒 *slow clap*
-
This against the background of sunsetting is just ridiculous. I’m not grinding for anything anymore. I just use what I get.

Edited by WulfPak666: 2/21/2021 2:01:47 PMOut of the all the Gambit games I've played, I had 1 Bottom Dollar and 2 of the fusion rifle (whatever it's called) In pvp I've gotten the side arm about 3 times and the sniper twice. I played at least 50 or so strikes and I've never gotten the Rocket Launcher. I got the pulse rifle once. Grinded the NF last week and I got Shadow Price twice (mostly played on Heroic difficulty) Only played the Nightfall a handful of times this week and got Pally twice. I wasn't expecting to get Shadow Price or Pally as much but I got those more often than I got the Playlist specific gear in a shorter amount of time. Pvp (maybe NF too) seemed to be more rewarding to me in terms of Gun drops per time played. Considering how low the drop rate is on top of how many perks these guns can roll with (24 total in the last 2 slots alone not counting barrel/mag) they definitely should be dropping more frequently. That doesn't even take Sunsetting into account.
-
Guns should not be so hard to get with sunsetting.
-
I got like 15 bottom dollars Over the course of 2 infamy resets that is
-
i cant do anymore gambit
-
did an entire 0-2000 valor reset and didnt get a single frozen orbit

With the amount of perks on the weapon it will be damm near impossible to get any semblance of a god roll. It’s so disrespectful of the players time

Edited by BossManTings88: 2/21/2021 1:53:59 AMThis is an answer of personal perspective Because of the temporary lifespan of seasonal weapon viability a desperation/depressive situation has occurred where as more weeks pass the less something becomes desirable and more like time wasted, a logical idea would be to buff the likely hood of newer loot to drop more often than older stuff would be best. Reasoning is it give that bit more incentive to chase that gun with the roll you want to attain for it I'm not implying they should be given out like candy but it's really getting lame when the 100th gnawing hunger or whichever pops

I’m torn on this. It’s frustrating but a good kind of frustrating.. but idk I get what everybody is saying. I just think that we really need SOMETHING to grind for esp when content is in a drough. Remember when grinding for Eyasluna or Hopscotch Pilgrim? I don’t know about you but those are fond memories. What about grinding for the Imago Loop or Grasp of Malok? I understand the frustration but it is so much worst when there is NOTHING to grind for in a drought and to expect for there to NEVER be a drought again is a LOT of pressure to put on BUNGIE during a pandemic.. (But yes, that can’t be used as “get out of jail free” excuse either. I’m just saying look at both sides before jumping to an opinion.)

They clearly dont know what uncommon means.
-
Be careful how you word the topic because this topic is very sensitive half of the community are okay with the current drop rate of weapons like Shadow price and the other half want the drop rate to be increased.
-
When you get exotics more than legendaries, something is wrong. Either it’s broken, or they intentionally made it too low. Either way, it needs to be increased.
-
You obviously haven’t played D1 where drop rates were low lol I honestly don’t mind the drop rate because it makes it feel like it’s a rare weapon. You get a sense of gratification
-
40 Gambit matches, and not 1 Bottom Dollar
-
I agree. I've not been affected by it too much however half my clan has farmed for bottom dollar and they haven't gotten a single one
-
Edited by HODGYL33DS: 2/20/2021 5:10:38 PMYeah and with the perk pools being massive getting a semi decent roll is tedious to non existent. In a fire team doing master nightfall it's easy but what's not easy in this game as a team!!?? Give solo players the option to matchmake bungie for fux sake.
-
I can see making it a little bit of a grind as that’s what we want. Right now it’s just too low to simply acquire the weapons. Since sunsetting is a thing I think they should at least up the drop rates each week little by little. It still doesn’t guarantee you will get the roll you want but as the season goes along it gives players the hope of getting the one you want eventually.

Edited by Ray: 2/20/2021 3:51:34 PMPalindrome is dropping like water if you do master. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve got, including a god roll
-
Nothing like doing 50 gambit matches to get a bottom dollar that has trash rolls. 😐
-
Got paly 1st run!!! High cal. Killing wind High impact reserves Range masterwork Forget the barrel though
-
26 hero runs and still no palindrome. Drop rate is lower than my k/d right now..lol
