OK the latest in this madness, i swapped out my MSI MAG27CQ for my ASUS TUF VG27W and no more flickering and honestly less choppiness but that is only in full screen, if i do border-less i get stutters again... so if you have a MSI 1440p monitor i guess they are not good for the new AMD hardware right now

In part, if I go none full screen the game will stutter again. It's just part of the issue. The game still not running like it should

So your problem seems to have been Monitor related. Id keep an eye out to see if MSI releases a firmware update for the monitor. In saying that I am curious as to the length of the DisplayPort cable used? the MAG27CQ only has DP 1.2 ports, so anything over 2M is prone to signal loss. otherwise it would seem as though the EDID table is inaccurate. Also I had a play around with the information provided and CRU, Framerates didn't improve. is your fix just for users with stutters and flickers?

started as stutters then it was a bit better and now i had flickers, just trouble shooting a piece at a time
