Hardware bans are the only thing they can truly do against cheaters and even then the best cheaters have ways around that too

  • While technically true, there’s no way that’ll happen. Bungie doesn’t make money from selling the game anymore but it DOES make money from silver which even if like 5% on the new players buy silver then they make money

    This is true to an extent but it will eliminate 90% of the cheaters which will make it A LOT more noticeable and help solve the problem to an extent. They don't want to do that because if they ban someone by hardware then that person is lost to them forever to buy crap from Eververse or buy silver. So they are willingly letting cheaters run unhinged so they can make more money. I think that's clear to everyone at this point.
