Except everything wasnt nerfed around xeno...
Xeno was buffed by 50%

Xeno received a buff and was still garbage. That's when several other weapons got slapped with a nerf to make Xenophage look like it had life.

Not true though. Xeno got buffed by 50% and then it already outdamaged pre nerf izanagi's by 400.000 against the garden raid boss. 800.000 izanagi. And 1.2 million xeno. With whisper still being 1.35 million.

The bottom line being... Izanagi was completely removed as an option at all, along with other weapons such as grenade launchers. Of course every weapon shouldn't do the same amount of damage, but it also shouldn't be the only way to do it. That was the point of this post.

Except they werent nerfed around xeno. Nade launchers werent nerfed at all. And izanagi was always supposed to be burst damage and not sustained damage.

Grenade launchers in the same archetype as Swarm of the Raven were indeed nerfed. Feel free to fact check that. And why can't a burst damage weapon be allowed to compete with others? (ie. rocket launchers which are about to receive a massive buff.. and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the new heavy exotic being a rocket launcher).

Bungie probably buffed rockets because next season's season pass exotic or ritual weapon will be a rocket launcher. 😀
