Cobalt enters the bar, and grabs a seat at a booth, next to Keria.
“So what’s up with you?”
English
-
“I don’t know. I haven’t seen her in a while, but she sends letters every month at least.”
-
"Good good. I might need her talents in a time. Talk to her would you? If you'll excuse us, he'd like to leave." I head for the door, following Cobalt.
-
“I’ll try to contact her.”
-
Cobalt glances up, and shakes his head. “No, I was just leaving. Going to pay respects to a fallen friend.”
-
“Oh. I was going to talk to you about getting your Titan back, but now seems like a bad time.”
-
“You can’t. She’s gone.” Cobalt puts his helmet on, and starts walking out. He turns back. “I saw Gates with you. Tell her I say hello.”
-
“You don’t even want to try?”
-
“No. Not now. I’ve got enough old war memories to deal with.”
-
“Even if you’re not going, I will. Hope you get some closure.”
-
“I won’t, but thanks.” Cobalt shoves his hands in his pockets, and walks out.
If you want to follow, it’s cool.
-
“I’m going to go with you if that’s okay.”
-
Cobalt nods. He exits, and starts walking towards the edge of the city.
-
“Are you okay?”
-
“Sure.” Cobalt keeps walking, until he eventually reaches a field at the age of a city. It’s a flat area, with a few small craters, though it’s covered in waist high grass. There’s a triangular pylon at the other side, made form scrap metal. Cobalt seems to be heading straight for it.
-
Geo follows, staying silent.
-
Cobalt stands at the foot of the pylon, and gently puts a hand against it. “This is where I landed, when I first got here.”
-
“What happened?”
-
“IMC was hit on my tail. They didn’t appreciate me going AWOL, so they threw almost everything they had at me.”
-
“For one Pilot?”
-
Cobalt nods. “When you’re one of the IMCs best soldiers, with as much knowledge as I had, they tend to want you back.”
-
“Well, if there’s anything I could do...”
-
“Probably not.” Cobalt pulls a small shovel out of his satchel, and begins digging, right over a patch of Cornflowers.
-
“Did someone else come with you?”
-
“Yes.” Cobalt keeps digging, until there’s a dull thunk. Cobalt dogs around, eventually revealing a metal coffin.
-
Geo stays silent.
