Make sure to set your PSN as the main, active cross-save account.

Your PSN account has a total of 56 minutes of playtime and no characters deleted. You'd need to continue playing the game to earn more gear.

It's showing I'm level 50, I'm confused its been so long since I've played, I have no gear, guns or currency to get any, so I'm sort of in a pickle, any idea who could help?

Level 50 is what all players are now. Also, if you were to start another character, that would be power level 1050, which is the new base/starting level. If this truly is your original account that you played with, there could not have been that many pieces of gear as the result of under an hour of game play. As said, you'll need to play the game to start earning new gear.
