Definitely isn’t a hot take. Practically everyone I’ve spoken to and heard feedback from about sunsetting has agreed that sunsetting armor makes zero sense. Bungie doesn’t even have a valid explanation to why they’re doing it.

Yeah that's what concerns me... That they have a plan for guns (hopefully it gets implemented), but we've heard nothing about armor.

Yup. And we can see how well weapon sunsetting has been going.. Now with transmog coming, along with the modding system we have, armor will become practically useless to chase outside of raid armor. The only incentive now is just stats, and finding new armor to replace your current one in time before it expires. It’s a terrible excuse for a “loot” system”. I don’t know how anyone at Bungie can look at this and see nothing wrong with it lol
