With every new TWAB, my drive to play Destiny 2 is waning. And I WANT TO PLAY IT. But I look at my stuff and think, 'Why bother? It'll all go away, sooner or later, probably sooner.'

Once you’ve played the story missions and raid at least once, what is there left to do? Collect weapons and armor. But now that everything has a much shorter expiration date, there’s no incentive to chase anything. And if there’s no incentive to chase anything, then why buy another season? You act like he wants to hear an answer, but we already know that there is no reason to bother anymore. His response is to show that the core reason to continue playing is now questionable at best, not seeking an answer.

If he's going to question that very relationship, loot based games are not for him. He needs an answer - play a different game. That goes the same for every player in the same boat.

You missed the point completely. There’s no point in actually chasing loot when it can take months to get the roll you want and only have weeks to use it. And that’s a terrible excuse, thinking that ever loot game is ONLY like destiny. Warframe has been around longer than D1, and not a single weapon has been sunset. Yet more and more powerful weapons keep coming with each content drop.

I didn't say every loot game is like destiny. I said it's a looter. You play it to find loot. You don't like the system? 👏👏👏🎉 I didn't miss the point.

To find more loot literally 365 days later. We're going to dance in circles here. They sunset loot to push you to find loot. I didn't miss the point. The argument posed is lacking. What [i]is[/i] the point? I repeat - it's a looter. You go and look for loot. That's how looters are designed. Destiny has sunsetting, WoW and diablo have you decide to dismantle your old gear if you find the se thing with better stats. time to move on.

If new loot is worth pursuing, you wouldn’t have to sunset weapons. Destiny isn’t WoW or Diablo, and I’m tired of hearing people on here act like it is. But I understand we will likely never agree on the topic of sunsetting. Goodbye

It's a petty reason to hate the game but nonetheless, people here are petty. We all have a year before it is sunset. Oh well. Again, don't like the design, goodbye, find a different game. Other than that, have a good day. PS those games are very comparable. They share similar aspects.

This is a forum for people to discuss their issues with the game. I don’t agree with people saying that mountaintop and recluse should be removed because they don’t like it, but I’m not telling them to move to a different game. They’re free to say what they wish about the game on this forum, even when people like you tell them to move to a different game

And I'm free to tell them to move to a different game. Don't like it? Don't play. Simple. Bungie isn't going to appeal to everyone. The world doesn't revolve around us. Gotta put things into perspective here. Concerns are one thing but saying you won't jive with the system - change it - just ain't it chief. 86 the nonsense and find a game you can appreciate more. Perhaps of more people suggested these things, more people wouldnt be engaged in a game they don't like.
