The PvP side of Gambit I'll say has improved. Not perfect, but better than before.
The PvE side however is still awful, and arguably worse than before the merge:
>Primary guns immediately become weak after just the first minute/wave or two due to the bulkier ads, causing for a much higher reliance on special/heavy weapons.
>The Primeval is still attached to a ball and chain just waiting for people to stack buffs/debuffs on it to wipe it out in literal seconds.
>Mote pickup is still buggy, sometimes taking as many as 10 seconds to pick one up after it drops no matter how many times you run/walk over it.

Putting a major spec on your primary goes a long way in gambit now that everything is an orange bar.

Didn’t think about this one. Not sure I personally would notice a difference myself, though it is a good suggestion.

It does help, but I typically have the rank and file mod on for bounties since my teammates are often stealing all of my kills and red bars are naturally weaker.

Well I’m not sure what it is that’s making my time spent in gambit more enjoyable, but I am enjoying gambit more this season. Like I said, Weird.

Overall I'd say it's more enjoyable too, but they took a step forward and a step back with the current Gambit.
