The current state of this game is worse than “Curse of Osiris” ever was. The combinations of Bungie being forced to work from home do to COVID, and just some truly horrendous developer design decisions. This game is about to go on life support and they honestly don’t have the time to try and reverse the damage already done.

  • Games got 10x the population of curse of Osiris. Back then armor didn’t have perks and weapons only had 1 static roll. Lmao na we’re doing fine right now by comparison.

  • Back then they actually “Paid” for the game, now You a bunch of free to play noobs.. So basically when You hand things out for free, Yes freeloaders will always take. Accounts registered is up because of the freeloaders, however actual players playing is dramatically dropping daily.. the game is in a tail spin if you look at a graph of daily populations over the last 2 months.. math doesn’t lie.

  • So you think 900k players are F2P when the F2P content consists of strikes, pvp, gambit, 1 dungeon and a 2 hour mission? Lmafo no dude. The raids get up to 200k daily players without much issue on reset. No raids are F2P. Find better excuses, the game was literally one of steams highest grossing games of 2020 by revenue and population. That’s just math. The past 2 months we’ve lost about the same amount with lost 2 months post shadowkeep and 2 months post Forsaken. Actually lost a bit more 2 months shadowkeep. You can literally still see that on the graphic. That’s how a good portion play, annually. And now that the expansion/season has been out for 2 months, essentially all the content has been released and players get what they want for the season, players will start dropping off. It happens literally every single year and we hear these claims every single year. It means nothing. Steam numbers aren’t total numbers, they’re the 2nd smallest system by playerbase. They aren’t daily numbers either, they’re hourly. Yeah the 1 mill that play this game daily aren’t going to log on all at once. The same 40k on right now aren’t gonna be the same 40k + 10k more. Realistically this is just the smallest number you guys can find sense stadia populations aren’t as easily accessed. Hell even steam acknowledges it’s in the top 20 most played games on their site at any time. As I said, it proves nothing other than the tend hasn’t changed in years. In 3 weeks the game will be back over a million total, then it’ll go down 1-2 months later, then VoG will return and it’ll get a bigger boost, and back down. So on and so forth until the game ends. This will never change again, unless bungie legitimately screw the weapon/armor system out of RNG again. That’s the only thing that’s ever really hurt Destiny. Nothing else has even come close, and trying to compare this situation to it is comical at best.
