Sunsetting does not help the player, nor does it increase the 'fun' of looking for loot in a game with a shrinking loot pool. Worse, the amount of grinding you need to find that perfect set of armour (or armours, sometimes you need three, one for each activity) is often pointless as by the time you get it, you've got to shard it and start all over for the new season.

Yep. Precisely. It makes you want to give up on the armor grind altogether. But if armor drops were consistently good and I'd leave one season with multiple sets of exactly what I want for different exotics... And I was convinced I could get another set of what I want next season just from normal play... I might be ok with it.

The issue there with 'constantly good' is the question 'Good for what, and who?' Because allegedly, each stat has a benefit, and depending on the player, they'll want a different stat spread from their armour. This is why Sunsetting, in general, is just bad planning.
