Further driving home the point that you don’t get rewarded for not playing the game.

At this point it actually is more rewarding to not play the game. At least in other games I can still have lasting impacts and memorabilia out of my items and flair.

As do I. Seems like you play a little too much. Should be no problem for you to get that stuff every season if you play way more than I do, and I’ve gotten everything.

Yes but there has been "feedback" on these forums for ages. Bungie doesn't listen to what's being said on here, they abandoned it. They don't look here for feedback, because most posts on here are just running bungie into the ground over every single decision they make, even if it's EXACTLY what people wanted. This is feedback. But it doesn't matter. Bungie won't listen. Besides, legendaries come and go anyways. The second best weapon type in the game changes every season, and you're ALWAYS going to grind for the current god-rolls or current second best archetypes. Sunsetting doesn't change anything, except for one detail: With sunsetting, you can't use sunset gear in endgame content or power-enabled pvp. Which doesn't even matter because there are always equal or better alternatives for PvP, and no PvE in this entire game is so hard that you CAN'T use whatever you want. I say that fully aware that the existence of Champions in endgame content actively prevents you from using loadouts that don't account for champions, but I'm talking ACTUAL difficulty, not BS mechanics and bullet sponges. So...sunsetting doesn't actually matter. Changes nothing, in the end, other than preventing people from using the exact same overused, boring setups as always in endgame content and power-enabled pvp.
